A frequent question that my husband and I get from people is "How did you meet?" A reasonable question when you consider it. He is British. I am American. However much I may want to believe that I don't have an accent, it is apparent to all who hear me speak. And the questions begin: Where are you from?, Why did you move to Orpington?, How do you like living here? Ours is a tale of a whirlwind romance that started in an internet chatroom, and has yet to end.
